Kristina Lopez (she/they) is an artist, death doula, and meditation teacher. She has studied the philosophy and science of meditation in Mahayana Buddhist schools of thought. Her practice is informed by an intersectional lens dedicated to collective liberation. As a death doula Kristina aims to bring more mindful awareness of death so that we may all live better. She is a second generation Caribbean American born and raised on Lenape land in NYC.

Kristina is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher recognized by the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. She has completed the following training programs: 200hr Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training with the Interdependence Project’s Kimberly Brown, Manaslu Gurung, and Mona Chopra. 200hr Meditation Teacher Training with Three Jewels’s Hector Marcel and Coco Korniczky. 100hr Compassion Meditation Teacher Training with Nalanda Institute’s Scott Tusa, Pooja Amy Shah M.D., and Megan Mook. She attended the New York Zen Center’s Foundations in Contemplative Care program led by senseis Robert Chodo Campbell, Koshin Paley Ellison, and Zenju Earthlyn Manuel. She has completed death doula trainings with Going with Grace and INELDA.
