We were really thrilled to offer IRL Mind Oasis meetups…but the changing tide of Covid has given us pause. We are committed to your health and safety first.
To this end, we have postponed our IRL meetup in New York City.
We have moved venues in the Milwaukee region to the backyard of two private residences: one is in West Bend and the other is in Glendale. There will be a tent, social distancing, and we’ll ask folks to wear a mask to use the indoor restroom. Space is limited to 10 individuals. We are still planning on having a lot of FUN.
These 1/2 day workshops are designed to offer practitioners an opportunity to practice together IRL and to connect with community members that they may have previously only been with in virtual space.
Each Meetup is tailored to the region and offers both a workshop and social time for those who attend.
Space is extremely limited, so please register early for the Meetup location that works best for you.
COVID precautions: We’ll ask you to sign a waiver as a proof of a Covid vaccination or a negative Covid test to participate in this in-person event. As for masking and social distance, we will adhere to the current recommendations at the time of the event per the CDC.
Harnessing the Joy in Your Life
With Mind Oasis Founder Karuna & Guests
August 27/28 2021
choose the Friday or Saturday meetup (each day is open to only 10 individuals)
1:00 – 4:00pm
Friday: Residence of former board president Joan Rudnitzki, West Bend
Saturday: Residence of Sandy Golden, Glendale
The four immeasurables or divine abodes are ways of expressing your life with presence and intention. In this three-hour workshop, you will learn how to cultivate and manifest kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity for greater resilience and love toward self and others. As a backdrop to this gentle and nourishing work, we’ll get together for the inaugural Mind Oasis meetup in beautiful and spacious backyards designed for restoration and safety.
You can expect:
– nourishing gentle movement (appropriate for all)
– guided meditations
– Dharma talks
– small group discussion and journaling
– time to explore outside
– small group dynamics (each session is limited to 14 people)
Optional Fun Activities:
Social Hour: Immediately afterwards socially distanced on Joan’s patio; wine, tea, and cheese
Social Hour: TBD
In order to keep the workshop to a small group, we are offering the same teaching on two different afternoons. Being that the social part is a big part of what so many of us are looking forward to, there are also two opportunities to get together for conversation and community. Join us for an optional and safe happy hour after each session.
