Mindfulness Begins in Our Hearts

During the 2025 Friendship, Fellowship, and Fun retreat, Kelly Marie (Karuna) will be sharing an extraordinary teaching for developing a good heart.

Perfectly positioned before the chaotic holiday season, this retreat is not to be missed!

In a rough and tumble world, we need all the help we can get to walk confidently and kindly. Kelly Marie will share six specific ways to approach every day life, called the Six Perfections. Each “Perfection” invites our hearts and minds to be at peace within and outside of us. These techniques, rooted in timeless wisdom, give us something to access in every moment of our life in order to feel aligned (and dare we say Happy), no matter what is going on.  

This year, we will also take a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park for a sunrise walking meditation. We will walk for about an hour around Bear Lake; experiencing the serenity and peacefulness of this spectacular place. Perhaps we will even hear the bellowing of an elk!

At Mind Oasis, we believe in “retreat light”.  Tight schedules, restrictions, and isolation aren’t our style. 

You can expect a loving and safe container among people who share your desire to connect to self, spirit, and whatever it is that you hold sacred. 

Tucked (very) comfortably into the natural wonderland of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, you’ll wake up to the stillness of nature and fresh mountain air. 

Your days will begin with quiet meditation, gentle movement, and a feel-good breakfast. 

Following a guided meditation, you’ll enjoy a lunch of exceptional vegetarian and vegan food. Afternoons offer the flexibility of optional activities in the surrounding landscape, or you can choose to explore the nearby woods at your leisure, create art, journal, nap, or just daydream. 

We’ll come back together for a Dharma talk and meditation before dinner.  After dinner activities might include reflective time around a campfire (marshmallows encouraged!), chatting in the kitchen over a cup of tea, and a soothing yoga nidra practice.
